National Coaches Week, Coaching Athletes With a Disability, and #SLS17
It’s almost here! The 3rd annual National #CoachesWeek begins this Saturday, September 23rd.
Coaching Athletes With a Disability
Earlier today we issued an announcement outlining some of the different ways Canadians can say #ThanksCoach during #CoachesWeek. The announcement also includes a quote from the new Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, the Honourable Kent Hehr, and a #ThanksCoach video shout out from the P/TCRs. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO READ THE ANNOUNCEMENT. We encourage you to share it with your respective networks.
For more information, including links to the marketing kit and the TeamSnap #ThanksCoach eCard, visit www.coach.ca/NationalCoachesWeek.
Tomorrow marks a special milestone for the NCCP and its partners. Our CEO, Lorraine Lafrenière, will be on-hand at the International Paralympic Committee’s VISTA 2017 conference to officially launch the NCCP’s Coaching Athletes with a Disability e-Learning Module.
Please be on the lookout for the announcement on SIRC and our social media channels tomorrow. Help us increase the reach of the announcement and consider sharing it via your own channels!
As of September 21st, and to celebrate Canada’s 150th, Coaching Athletes with a Disability training will be available free of charge throughout 2017! To learn more about the benefits of taking the Coaching Athletes with a Disability eLearning module, CLICK HERE.

Concussion Baseline Testing in Canada

To address this, Parachute recently issued the following statement.
We’re excited to join other Canadian sport organizations at the House of Sport! Please take note of our new mailing address, effective Monday, October 2nd:
