Coaching Association of Canada - Coaching Cards - Feb 2010

Our partners and coaches are the lifeblood of our organization. We have the incredible pleasure of providing service to a community that has fabulous depth and talent. Over the past 3 years, many have felt frustration because of the challenges stemming from our database.

The result of some glitches in our data was, coaching cards that had inadequate information. This caused confusion amongst the coaches and put pressure on the systems and resources of both our valued partners and on the team at CAC.

In order to put adequate solutions in place, one must tackle one issue at a time. The first step was to identify the root cause of the problem. As a result, we hired a full-time person to oversee the solution and are well on our way to completion.

We then ramped up our organization with people that have focused on assisting us with building the solutions based on the feedback from coaches and partners.

The final step in this process was to work through all the details pertaining to our coaching cards.

Attached you will find a sample of an NCCP Coaching Card.

SOLUTIONS:

We have implemented the following solutions:

  • Old NCCP and new NCCP data have been placed onto one card.
  • Many dedicated people on our service team have spent long hours combing through each card to ensure the information and the data is complete and displayed properly.
  • We will be sending an initial batch of 10,000 next THURSDAY February 25th .
    • We will track problems and feedback closely to ensure that issues have been resolved and we have fixed these with adequate solutions.

FURTHER ASSISTANCE:

  • The front page of the CAC website will be updated to communicate the coaches options for obtaining their coaching credentials.
  • A memo will be sent to MLFs/LFs to ensure they are 100% clear about communication to coaches in NCCP workshops

With a focus to continue to drive forward and raise the satisfaction level of our partners and coaches, a formal investigation and needs assessment will be conducted to determine the future of our coaching cards.

Thank you for all your patience and assistance in working with us.

Very Sincerely,
Nancy J. Spotton and Cyndie Flett
