Lori Hogg (MB)

Nomination Criteria Description:
Lori began playing broomball at 12 years old. She began playing in a mixed league in the Shoal Lake area. Her National career came to fruition at the age of 16 in Montreal at the Juvenile National Championships in 1992. She participated in 3 Juvenile Nationals, receiving an All Star in every one. (Montreal, Corner Brook & Regina) In Regina, she was selected as the overall female MVP.
Lori's Senior National career started in Chilliwack, BC in 1997 where she was picked up by La Vitesse (MB). Although she did not win an award at this championship, she proceeded to get selected to 5 straight All Star teams during the next 5 championships. Her last Nationals took place in Corner Brook, Nfld.
Lori also participated in 3 Mixed Nationals, where she was a first team All Star in 2 of them (Winnipeg & Edmonton).
Lori was the Captain of the Selkirk Hawks team for the majority of these National events. She was a team leader, a role model for new players, and a pleasure to watch on the ice. Her defense position was played with grit, her shot was admired, and she was a threat to any forward coming down the ice 1 on 1.
