Nomination Criteria Description
Bruce was elected to the Canadian Broomball Federation Executive in 1981 and served for a period of six years.
As director on the Canadian Broomball Federation, Bruce was responsible for all rule changes that were made in the Rule Book and Referee’s Manual.
Bruce was instrumental in combining the eight or ten different Provincial Rule Books that were used throughout the country to be used at the Canadian National Broomball Championships. This took some long, hard and heated meetings especially between Quebec and Ontario.
Bruce has the distinction of refereeing in every Province at the Canadian National Championships, with the exception of Manitoba.
Bruce has refereed broomball in tournament play and “Championship” games in the following categories:

Bruce Moores started his broomball career in the Grand Falls Broomball League as a player in 1975. After two years playing in the league, he started his 14-year career as a Referee in 1977. Bruce was appointed as Referee-in-Chief of Broomball Newfoundland/Labrador in 1979 and served in that position until 1993.
